Pepper Spray

When looking for an effective self defense product for your personal protection, pepper spray/mace is a great choice and among the most popular non lethal defensive tools on the market. Pepper spray contains a chemical called OC (Oleoresin Capsicum) which comes from hot pepper plant oils. Some may a contain mixed ingredients such as OC, CN tear gas and UV marking dye. They work as a inflammatory agent, which will cause painful burning irritation to the eyes, throat and nose when it makes contact. It can even take down assailants who are drunk or on drugs with a blast to the persons face. When the spray hits the intended target, it will cause the attacker to start coughing feeling nauseous and cause temporary blindness. It will also make it hard for them to breathe, because of the swelling of the throat and nose membranes. A one second shot to the face is usually enough to immobilize the attacker for fifteen minutes and even up to an hour, depending on the individual's reaction to the pepper spray. Some people may have to be sprayed a few times to take effect, because they might have a higher degree of tolerance to the chemical agents. Always be prepared in case the attacker attempts to take it away from you, so spray as many times as you can to stop this criminal menace to society. Once the spray takes effect, which is about 3 or 4 seconds, they are going to wish that they never messed with you, because at that point the sleazy individual that tried to attack you is now at the mercy of the inflammatory and burning non lethal spray by causing an involuntary reaction that cannot be controlled. Also a good thing to remember is that when you're outdoors always be aware of the weather conditions when using pepper spray, because wind and rain can hinder the effects of the spray by blowing it back toward your direction and you getting sprayed as well, so always keep that in mind. Some sprays may work better in those conditions than others. There are different types of pepper sprays you can choose from to defend yourself from a person with criminal intentions, they are the Stream, Fogger, Gel and Foam. We also carry pepper sprays to defend against bears and dogs. Some of the popular brands we carry are Wildfire, Mace, Pepper shot, Vampire. The distance they shoot can range from 5ft. to 25ft., depending on the pepper spray you are using. They range from 1/2 oz. to 1lb. Also be aware of approximately how many one second blasts to the perpetrators face you will get from each of the spray canisters that you are carrying. They can range from 5 one second bursts to 75, but they can vary a little. More information will be in the description of the different types that are available. Like any self defense item to be purchased, it is always a good idea to check the state and local laws to see what the regulations may be. We will not sell where these products are not legal. Arming yourself with a non-lethal self defense weapon can mean the difference from becoming a victim and stopping an attack. Be safe and know how to use any defensive item you purchase properly and be prepared for anything that may threaten you or loved ones safety.
